Superhuman said on Sept. 14, 2026, that it has acquired Fathom, the AI meeting partner, and plans to bring Fathom’s notetaking and meeting-intelligence features into its apps and agents. In its announcement, Superhuman said the goal is to connect what happens in meetings with email, calendar, documents and databases.
The company said the acquisition is meant to give Superhuman Go and its agents more context when they respond to work. Superhuman described meetings as a source of decisions, commitments and follow-up work that often stays trapped in recordings, personal notes and summaries instead of flowing into the tools people use next.
Superhuman also said Fathom brings meeting capture, live summaries and integrations into other workflows. The announcement framed the deal as a way to move meeting output into the same environment as the rest of Superhuman’s suite, rather than keeping it in a separate product.
A community post said current Docs usage is unchanged for now. Users who connect Fathom to Go will be able to ask about past meetings, including summaries, transcripts, action items and recordings.
TechCrunch reported that Superhuman had tested a notetaker internally before choosing to acquire Fathom, and quoted CEO Shishir Mehrotra saying the company learned how difficult strong meeting recording and notetaking are to build.
The immediate practical change for users is limited but specific: Fathom can be connected into Go, and Superhuman says Docs will remain unchanged while it expands how meeting context surfaces inside its product suite.
